Bob Solberg
Vice President of Design Services
Bob Solberg is responsible for overseeing SLE's technical
operations and brings over 26 years experience in senior
management, project management, design verification, training, and
technical writing to the company. Mr. Solberg works closely with
SLE's engineering team and program managers to ensure the company's
commitment to quality and customer value is realized. Prior to
co-founding SLE, Mr. Solberg worked at Cray Research where he held
multiple engineering management positions, including management
roles for the Cray J90, J90-SE, SV-1, YMP-EL, and T3E supercomputer
projects. Prior to Cray Research, Mr. Solberg worked at Control
Data Corporation in the Cyber computer engineering
group. Mr. Solberg holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology
and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the
University of Wisconsin.
Mike Berry
Chief Technology Officer, Design Services
Mike Berry's responsibilities include overseeing the design,
verification and implementation teams for SLE's high-end ASIC and
system development programs, as well as defining SLE's tool flow and
design methodologies. He has more than 15 years of electronic
systems design and engineering expertise. Prior to SLE's inception,
Mr. Berry was at Cray Research where he was a key contributor to a
number of the company's ASIC and system-level development projects.
Before Cray Research, he was at the New Jersey Institute of Technology
(NJIT) Microelectronics Research Center where he was responsible for
establishing and supervising a new facility for 2um CMOS integrated
circuit development. Mr. Berry is a former board member of the IEEE
Custom Integrated Circuits Conference (CICC), where he contributed to
the conference's technical programs. He holds a Bachelor of Science
degree in Physics from Drew University and a Master of Science degree
in Electrical Engineering from NJIT.
Jason Pecor
Director of Sales and Marketing, Design Services
Jason Pecor is responsible for directing worldwide sales activities and providing strategic guidance for SLE's business development efforts. He is focused on developing and maintaining strong customer relationships and leading SLE's marketing and communications activities. He has worked at SLE for 10 years serving in both technical and management roles as Sr. Design Verification Engineer and Program Manager of Government Services. Prior to SLE, Jason worked for Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids, Iowa developing GPS simulation equipment and FPGA/ASIC solutions for military communication and guidance systems. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology from the University of Wisconsin - Stout.
Steve Phillips
Technology Director, Design Services
Steve Phillips has 24 years experience in all aspects of very
large, high-speed ASIC and system design for several leading-edge
supercomputer companies in addition to SLE. As Technology Director, Mr.
Phillips coordinates Intellectual Property Development, ASIC Design
and Implementation Methodology Development, ECAD Tool Development,
and Computer/Networking Studies. He is also a Program Manager for key
SLE customer projects and oversees all Information Technology issues
at SLE. Prior to co-founding SLE, Mr. Phillips held engineering and
management positions at Cray Research, Convex Computer, ETA Systems,
and Chen Systems. Mr. Phillips has worked on over a dozen leading edge
ASIC chip sets and has managed many of SLE's right-first-time
chipsets. Mr. Phillips earned his Bachelor of Science degree in
Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin in
Madison.
