Q: What types of ASICs can you design?
A: SLE can design any feasible digital ASIC. We choose to focus on the leading-edge, large, fast, and complex ASICs.
Q: Can you design the ASIC from start to finish?
A: You bet. We have experts in architecture all the way through physical design. We can design the whole ASIC for you or work with you on a specific portion of the design.
Q: Do you manufacture ASICs or Systems?
A: No. But, we do have partners we work with and can manage the system project for you from concept to silicon to complete product. We have been managing full product development since our days at Cray Research.
Q: What kind of experience do you have?
A: Our team averages over 17 years experience per employee. We have been designing the largest ASICs since (some-of us even before) our days at Cray Research. Our most recent ASIC is 60 million gates, 800 MHz, 90nm.
Q: What tools do you use?
A: We have tools from several vendors but feature Synopsys’s full toolsuite. We also have our own proprietary toolsuite that we use in addition to our purchased tools. Our toolsuite is part of our Think Physical™ methodology and helps us to stay on the leading edge.
Q: Can you help my team design an ASIC?
